The Olympia Farmers Market is located at the North end of Capital Way in downtown Olympia. They have over 140 local vendors of various produce, baked goods and crafts. Not all the vendors are there every day, but lots are, including us. One of the special things about the Farmers Market is that every one of the vendors is required to grow, make, or produce the goods that they sell. This differs from markets such as the Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA which is largely a Public Market. All the produce at the Olympia Farmers Market is Washington grown and in several cases you're actually talking to the farmers themselves. They also have a wide variety of nursery products for inside and outside your home. There are several bakers, butchers, fish and oyster vendors, and more. There are lots of local artist and crafters there as well. There is something there for everyone.
There are other things besides shopping to do as well, like:
The Market is open from April to December. April-October: Thursday through Sunday, 10:00a.m.-3:00 p.m. November-December: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00a.m.-3:00p.m.
